Nocturnal panic attacks/ seizures! Help please! Anyone experienced these/ any doctors with knowledge of this? - nocturnal seizures vs panic attacks
My friend has panic attacks during sleep. I did the first night I stayed over. They come almost every time he is about to fall into a deep sleep (sometimes every 10 minutes). He enters, shakes and gasps for air, then falls asleep.
The other night, was something else. It is a normal attack, but this was different, jumped out of bed to catch his breath, he concluded it difficult to breath, he lost his breath and fell. He turned around, spasms, eyes on the back of the head and it was terrible and gurgling, moaning. Then he became unconscious until the paramedics arrived (called 911) and picked it up. After regaining consciousness, he has all the memory in the short term than an hour or two lost.
He said what was thinking 2 and he would for the first time (as I kill this time). He claims the death was the body's response to the loss of oxygen from the panic attack. I felt attacked.
Few .. through his tongue and wet it All the signs of an attack.
Help please! Everyone experiences?

In fact, as my attacks. I'm epileptic and occur mostly at night. Please keep a log entry. All in all, each time you do not tonight. Do not worry. It will be good.
I have a friend who has similar crises in his sleep .. but they are much rarer. Finally, go to a sleep study, which did not work for him, because, as I said, you are much more common, maybe a few times a year maximum. perhaps a sleep study will help doctors to see what happens with him?
